Qualcomm is seeking an experienced Chipset Power System Engineer to tackle power challenges and innovate solutions for optimizing power in next generation Snapdragon Compute Chipsets. The engineer will lead a cross-functional team to model SOC/chipset power and enhance low power consumption. This role involves guiding the design and development cycles to ensure power-efficient solutions. The engineer will also interact with customers to understand specific power requirements and model customer-specific use cases.

• A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field is required.
• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in low power feature analysis and design is preferred.
• Architectural knowledge in application processors, modem processors, AR/XR, machine learning, mobile, or computing is preferred.
• System knowledge of mobile SOC or chipset is preferred.
• Experience in hardware or software design or optimizations of low power features is preferred.
• Understanding of machine learning networks for compute applications is preferred.

• Conduct power architecture and tradeoff analysis.
• Perform chipset and system level power modeling, analysis, and optimization for SOC, chipset, and platform solutions.
• Identify power requirements and quantify power gap/risk areas.
• Optimize power efficiency and performance of current generation designs and help architect future products.
• Guide multi-function groups through the design cycle to achieve power targets.
• Design power features and collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, software, hardware, and production test.
• Engage with customers to promote chipset capabilities and address specific power requirements.
• Model power for customer-specific use cases and designs.
