Job description

Qualcomm is seeking a Graphics Software Engineer to join their Engineering Group. This role focuses on architecting, designing, implementing, verifying, and optimizing GPU hardware, drivers, features, applications, and tools. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and enhance the performance of graphics software. The position requires a strong foundation in programming languages suitable for graphics and offers opportunities for growth in a dynamic technology environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages suitable for graphics, such as C++ or C.
  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 1+ year of relevant GPU experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Apply graphics knowledge to assist in the architecture, design, implementation, and verification of GPU hardware, drivers, features, applications, and tools.
  • Write code for well-defined features, drivers, and APIs using different programming languages.
  • Maintain comprehensive pre- and post-silicon tests to verify performance.
  • Assist in identifying deficiencies in designs and collaborate with team members to develop solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand new features and functionality for implementation and customization.
  • Write detailed design documentation and feature descriptions for projects.
