Job description

This position is for a software engineer specializing in embedded Linux software design and development for Qualcomm's next generation of Snapdragon products in Automotive ADAS and Infotainment. The role involves working with various technology teams, OEMs, and industry partners to optimize Linux-based automotive solutions. The engineer will engage with the software stack, including application boot loaders, kernel, and user spaces, while ensuring adherence to safety and security standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to define and implement comprehensive solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years.
  • 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • 5+ years of professional work experience in embedded or automotive software and/or driver development on ARM SoCs on Linux/Android.
  • 5+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Rust, or Python.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software and applications.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to customize software for optimal operational efficiency.
  • Design and implement software modules for large-scale products and systems.
  • Participate in and lead design, coding, unit testing, debugging, and integration efforts to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Perform complex code reviews and regression tests, and triage and fix issues to ensure code quality.
  • Collaborate with hardware, systems, and test engineers to ensure solutions integrate effectively with other project components.
  • Write detailed technical documentation for complex software projects.
