Job description

In this Customer Engineer role at Qualcomm, you will collaborate with device, application, and solution partners to integrate and optimize AI experiences on Snapdragon platforms. The focus is on providing technical guidance and support throughout the deployment process, ensuring efficient operation using CPU, GPU, and NPU acceleration. You will also assist in transitioning solutions from prototype to commercialization while addressing technical challenges. This position requires a strong understanding of embedded software development and machine learning frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering or related work experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD.
  • 1+ year of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
  • Experience developing, training, or deploying models using an ML framework like PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Responsibilities

  • Support deployment of computer vision and generative AI models on Snapdragon platforms.
  • Assist customers in moving from development to commercialization.
  • Provide internal enablement through training and documentation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
  • Implement model improvement techniques to enhance performance on-device.
  • Execute project deliverables end-to-end, including implementation and testing.
  • Drive system-level issue investigation and communicate results to partners.
