Job description
The DevOps Engineer – SaaS Applications at Qualcomm is responsible for administering, integrating, and scaling the enterprise SaaS ecosystem. This role focuses on the day-to-day operations of critical SaaS platforms, ensuring user lifecycle management and automated provisioning. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SaaS administration and CI/CD automation, particularly with tools like GitHub Actions. The engineer will also design secure workflows that enhance developer productivity and governance across the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience administering enterprise SaaS applications at scale, such as Slack, GitHub, and Atlassian.
- Strong hands-on experience with identity and access protocols, including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, and SCIM provisioning.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and operating SCIM-based user provisioning between an IdP and downstream SaaS applications.
- Strong experience as a Slack administrator, including building Slack apps and API integrations.
- Proven experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
Responsibilities
- Administer enterprise SaaS applications, including configuration, licensing, and platform health monitoring.
- Own end-to-end user lifecycle management across the SaaS portfolio.
- Implement and maintain SCIM provisioning to automate account creation and updates.
- Configure and operate SAML and OAuth/OIDC single sign-on integrations.
- Serve as the technical owner for Slack Enterprise Grid administration.
- Design, build, and operate integrations between SaaS platforms and internal systems using REST APIs.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment of SaaS configurations.
- Automate routine SaaS operations using scripting languages like Python or Bash.
- Troubleshoot complex SaaS, identity, and integration issues across environments.
