Job description

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking talented engineers for RISCV CPU RTL development focused on high-performance, low-power devices. The role involves contributing to architecture and product definition, as well as being responsible for microarchitecture and RTL execution of CPU system features. Candidates will work on various aspects of system architecture, including power management and debug architecture. This position requires strong technical skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enable CPU system features in products.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer or electrical engineering with 1-3 years of experience in CPU RTL or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of microprocessor architecture, particularly in RISCV CPU system features.
  • Strong expertise in power management for high-performance systems.
  • Proficiency in Verilog and/or VHDL, along with experience using simulators and waveform debugging tools.
  • Excellent technical documentation skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Explore performance and power optimization opportunities in collaboration with the CPU modeling team.
  • Develop high-level architecture and microarchitecture specifications that translate into RTL design.
  • Own RTL development and refine it to meet power, performance, area, and timing goals.
  • Support functional verification by assisting the design verification team in executing verification strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to validate physical design aspects including timing, area, reliability, testability, and power.
