The SRE Platform Lead at Qualcomm will focus on implementing and supporting enterprise integration solutions using Boomi and Confluent platforms. This hands-on role combines platform engineering, site reliability engineering, and integration/event streaming expertise. The position requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA, and involves collaboration with a 24/7 operations team in India. The lead will also engage in technical discussions with vendors to align software roadmaps with business requirements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in SRE Platform Engineering or Application Administration.
- Strong, hands-on experience with Boomi Enterprise & Agent Studio.
- Strong, hands-on experience with Confluent/Kafka operations and administration.
- 5+ years of experience using critical thinking to debug complex technical issues.
- Good understanding of software testing tools such as Selenium, JMeter, Junit, and PyTest.
- Deep expertise in observability using Datadog.
- Strong scripting/automation skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Responsibilities
- Administer and operate Boomi and Confluent platforms.
- Develop AI-assisted templates or workflows using Boomi Agent Studio.
- Build and maintain operational standards for event streaming and iPaaS platforms.
- Define and operationalize SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, and runbooks.
- Lead incident response, problem management, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Implement end-to-end observability using Datadog.
- Build a self-service portal and establish an Event Marketplace approach.
