As a Qualcomm Machine Learning Engineer, you will develop and implement advanced tools and solutions for state-of-the-art AI applications across various technology sectors. This role focuses on the software design and development of a Pipeline AI for Qualcomm products, including Mobile, Compute, Automotive, IOT, and XR. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance Qualcomm's development workflows and contribute to the company's agentic transformation. This position is available in both San Diego, CA and Raleigh, NC.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD.
- 4+ years of software development experience using Python and/or C/C++.
- Strong software development skills including data structure and algorithm design.
- Foundational knowledge of Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
- Experience with one of the Deep Learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX, or JAX.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based pipeline tooling for AI model processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the AI Software team and across Qualcomm Business Units.
- Validate and optimize the performance and correctness of pipeline software through detailed analysis.
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure high-quality software.
- Debug complex issues and perform root cause analysis to maintain system reliability.
