As an AI Software Core Software Engineer at Qualcomm, you will develop and implement advanced machine learning techniques to enhance the Qualcomm AI Stack. This role involves creating tools and supporting the AI software platform, particularly focusing on the Qualcomm AI Runtime SDK and Generative AI Inference Extensions. You will work on performance profiling for Edge-AI use cases on embedded SoCs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable AI software solutions. Additionally, you will guide junior team members and contribute to a culture of technical excellence within the AI Software team.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 4+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
• Proficiency in software tools development using C/C++/Python.
• Experience with development in different OS/platforms like Android, Linux, and Windows.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, presentation, and writing).

• Lead and develop in-house software tools or research off-the-shelf third-party toolchains for the Qualcomm AI Stack SDKs.
• Coordinate efforts for system-level performance and memory profiling to support high performance and efficient AI software stack.
• Validate, analyze, and optimize the performance and accuracy of software through detailed testing of machine learning use cases.
• Debug complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure high system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable toolchains.
