The Senior Staff Audio Engineer at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is a technical authority responsible for the architecture, design, and optimization of complex audio subsystems. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience, or a PhD with 4+ years of experience.
• 3+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Expert proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with Java/Kotlin or Python.
• Deep understanding of Linux/Android kernel audio drivers and memory management.
• Hands-on experience with Android Audio Framework and standard audio interfaces.

• Lead the definition and design of end-to-end audio architectures.
• Drive the design of advanced audio features such as spatial audio and active noise cancellation.
• Analyze system performance to identify bottlenecks and optimize power consumption.
• Propose and prototype new audio algorithms to improve acoustic performance.
• Serve as the primary technical interface for audio subsystems and lead design reviews.
• Collaborate with Hardware, System, and Test teams to resolve complex integration challenges.
• Lead complex root cause analysis for critical audio defects and drive solutions.
• Mentor senior and staff engineers on best practices and architectural patterns.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and create detailed technical documentation.
