Qualcomm is seeking a software engineer to join its Windows Audio Software team, focusing on developing next-generation Voice AI capabilities for Windows-on-Snapdragon platforms. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, production-ready solutions that enhance on-device audio experiences. Candidates will work on feature development for wake-on-voice, on-device ASR, and other audio functionalities. This position requires strong programming skills and a solid understanding of Windows system software.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD.
- 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Proficiency in systems programming and ability to deliver production-quality code.
- Strong Windows development skills using Visual Studio and Git-based workflows.
- Experience developing or integrating Windows drivers using KMDF and/or UMDF.
Responsibilities
- Own feature development end-to-end for Voice AI capabilities on Windows.
- Gather and refine technical requirements with internal and external partners.
- Co-design and implement Windows audio and driver stack solutions.
- Drive low-power audio architecture for always-on use cases.
- Optimize and validate performance using Windows diagnostics.
