Qualcomm is seeking an experienced CPU software engineer to join their software CPU architecture group. This team focuses on developing long-term software roadmaps and engaging with global partners to influence product development. The role involves designing and developing low-level firmware for CPU bootstrapping and power management. Candidates will have the opportunity to work on innovative products that span multiple technology domains related to system-on-chip development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years.
- 3+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- 15+ years of experience in the embedded domain to design, develop, and support software solutions on multi-core CPUs.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills.
- Very deep expertise in computer architecture in areas such as memory consistency, coherency, and virtualization.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop firmware for boot, debug, idle, and active CPU power management.
- Coordinate debugging of critical software issues related to high-performance CPU microarchitecture.
- Define short and long-term software architecture roadmap in accordance with Arm's architecture ISA evolution.
- Represent the CPU software teams in engagements with Arm/RISC-V architects and third-party software partners.
- Contribute to Qualcomm's innovative products by influencing the product roadmap.
