Job description

Qualcomm AI Research is seeking talented ML/AI algorithm evaluation engineers to work on embedded GenAI and Agentic AI. The role involves collaborating with a high-caliber team to build advanced machine learning technologies and tools. Engineers will evaluate ML software tools and algorithms, ensuring they meet quality standards while optimizing performance on various hardware accelerators. This position offers the opportunity to learn cutting-edge technologies and participate in the development process to drive quality improvements.

Requirements

  • Exceptional software development skills with excellent analytical, development, and debugging skills.
  • Strong understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals.
  • Experience with LLM, LVM, LMM models, and other neural network architectures.
  • Proficiency in designing, implementing, and training ML algorithms in high-level languages/frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate ML software tools and algorithms to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Port AI/ML solutions to various platforms and optimize performance on multiple hardware accelerators.
  • Collaborate with software teams to plan a comprehensive evaluation approach.
  • Implement the evaluation strategy, deciding key performance metrics and developing automation.
  • Perform in-depth benchmarking and model evaluation to ensure AI systems meet safety standards.
