Job description

Qualcomm is seeking a Software Engineer to join the QCT Software Automation and Tools group in San Diego. This role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web-based and cloud-hosted tools that support Qualcomm's CI/CD ecosystem. The ideal candidate will work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with teammates and cross-functional partners. The position involves full-stack development using modern technologies and practices within an Agile environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of academic or industry software development experience.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, with experience using React and modern frontend tooling.
  • Backend development experience using C# (.NET Core) or Python.
  • Familiarity with relational databases, particularly SQL Server.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services under guidance from senior team members.
  • Implement features and enhancements on existing systems using React/TypeScript frontends and .NET Core or Python backend services.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established standards.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs following team API design standards.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.
