Job description

Qualcomm is seeking a systems engineer to join their Chip Architecture team, focusing on performance analysis for system-on-chip (SoC) products across various markets including mobile and automotive. Requirements

  • MS or PhD degree in a relevant field
  • 1+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or a related area
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Industry experience in computer architecture concepts such as CPU, GPU, and DSP
  • Hands-on experience with simulators and performance/power models
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming
  • Familiarity with ARM and Linux

Responsibilities

  • Engineer market-leading SoC products with best-in-class performance.
  • Lead and conduct performance and systems studies.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to define multimedia, modem, compute, and memory technologies.
  • Define complex use cases including new workloads such as Gaming and AI.
  • Deploy simulators, profilers, or hardware to identify performance bottlenecks.
  • Communicate experimental results effectively with technical leads and peers.
  • Invent and file patents on technical solutions to relevant problems.
