Job description
The role is for an engineer in Qualcomm's System Level Test group, focusing on the testing and validation of integrated circuit solutions for various applications including mobile and automotive. The team aims to deliver best-in-class system test solutions to meet customer quality goals while minimizing costs. The engineer will work on IC design reviews, hardware testing, and software development, contributing to the testing and characterization of hardware under different operating conditions. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in system or bench-level testing, preferably within mobile, automotive, IoT, or microprocessor industries.
- Understanding of computer architecture and operating systems such as Android, Windows, Linux, or RTOS.
- Experience with embedded systems and SoC-level testing concepts.
- Ability to develop or execute test cases for processors, graphics, memory, thermal behavior, and power performance of SoCs.
- Familiarity with source control systems such as Perforce or Git.
- Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Python, C#, or .NET.
- Hands-on experience with lab measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
Responsibilities
- Work with engineering teams for early-stage silicon bring-up and post-silicon validation efforts.
- Test and characterize hardware with system software.
- Verify device performance at various operating conditions including voltage, process, and temperature.
- Partner with development teams to create automated test content solutions that stress the SoC across various chipsets.
- Develop effective production screens for system level issues in collaboration with team project leads.
