Job description

Qualcomm is seeking a skilled engineer to join their AI Research team, focusing on advancing Generative AI technology for edge devices. The role involves working in a dynamic research environment alongside a multi-disciplinary team of researchers and software engineers. The successful candidate will leverage their strong theoretical background and hands-on experience to enable on-device AI solutions. Key areas of focus include model optimization techniques, hardware acceleration, and edge inference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 6+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years.
  • Strong Software Engineering/Development skills combined with a solid foundation in AI and general ML techniques.
  • Proven hands-on experience evaluating and optimizing Generative AI workflows.
  • Knowledge of neural networks and experience using ML frameworks such as PyTorch and ONNX.
  • Strong Python design and implementation skills.

Responsibilities
