The Machine Learning Hardware Accelerator team at Qualcomm is looking for an experienced Hardware Design & Architecture Lead. This role focuses on defining and analyzing next-generation ML hardware accelerator architectures, particularly for vision applications in mobile and emerging products. The candidate will work closely with various teams to deliver high-performance, power-efficient designs. The position requires a strong background in hardware development and collaboration across multiple disciplines.
Requirements
- Experience in hardware development for ML, multimedia, or accelerator technologies.
- Experience in system or chipset development for SoC products, preferably in the mobile market.
- MS Degree required with 15+ years of industry experience in relevant areas.
- Familiarity with OS principles and HW/SW interaction.
- Experience with SoC bus, interconnect, and memory technologies.
Responsibilities
- Architect high-performance, power-efficient ML hardware accelerator designs.
- Analyze and optimize hardware for performance, power, and area tradeoffs.
- Define hardware micro-architecture for efficient implementation of ML algorithms.
- Lead HW IP development, collaborating with RTL design, verification, synthesis, and physical design teams.
- Communicate results and technical issues effectively with leads and peers.
