Job description

The role involves working within a large test and engineering systems organization focused on test automation infrastructure and strategy in the Power and thermal testing areas of various technologies. Daily collaboration with test engineers and product engineers is essential to execute test plans and debug software issues across Qualcomm chipsets. The position emphasizes the use of power measurement equipment and the execution of functional tests for power and thermal software. Candidates will also validate thermal mitigation algorithms and provide characterization data to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
  • Understanding of software product life cycle and experience with software test methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other test engineers and product engineers to develop test plans.
  • Execute test cases for Power/Thermal software and debug related issues.
  • Use power measurement equipment to collect measurements for system use cases.
  • Provide test results and characterization data to cross-functional teams.
  • Validate thermal mitigation algorithms and perform temperature profiling.
