Qualcomm is seeking a highly skilled Modem Hardware Design Engineer to join their advanced design organization. This role focuses on AI-driven methodologies and next-generation modem hardware development, blending traditional design expertise with cutting-edge technologies. The engineer will work closely with hardware teams and engage with system, RF, firmware, and software teams to ensure successful silicon delivery. The position is based in locations such as San Diego, CA; Santa Clara, CA; and Boxborough, MA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 1+ year of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
- 1+ year of experience in the wireless, semiconductor, and/or embedded software industry.
- 6+ months of experience in WWAN modem development.
Responsibilities
- Define specifications and architecture/micro-architecture for modem hardware.
- Develop RTL and optimize designs for area, power, and performance.
- Collaborate with verification, modeling, and physical implementation teams.
- Engage with system, RF, firmware, and software teams to deliver first-time-right silicon.
