As a Principal CPU Power Modeling Engineer at Qualcomm, you will lead the strategy and execution of CPU power modeling across various product segments, including Mobile, Compute, and XR/VR. Your role involves developing benchmark-driven and workload-based power modeling frameworks while collaborating closely with product and software teams. This position will significantly influence architecture and design trade-offs, as well as product-level power optimization. You will also mentor engineers and enhance modeling infrastructure.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in CPU power modeling and analysis
- Strong understanding of CPU microarchitecture and performance-power trade-offs
- Proven experience in benchmark analysis and workload characterization
- Proficiency in Python, TCL, or Perl
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years, or a PhD with 6+ years
Responsibilities
- Define and lead CPU power modeling strategy across business units
- Develop benchmark-driven and workload-based power models
- Collaborate with software and product teams to define workloads
- Analyze power across real-world scenarios and provide optimization insights
