Job description

The role involves overseeing the architecture, design, verification, and performance analysis for Digital Signal Processor (DSP) development at Qualcomm. The focus is on applying high-performance microprocessor design concepts to achieve industry-leading results in various applications, including machine learning and automotive. The position requires collaboration with team members and effective communication to ensure design specifications are met. The engineer will also evaluate design tradeoffs and verify design correctness using various system tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design.
  • 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
  • 2+ years of experience in design verification methods.

Responsibilities

  • Independently develop small well-defined blocks and assist in developing complex blocks and features under minor supervision.
  • Identify problems across multiple systems or subsystems and resolve architecture and design issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to generate new ideas and seek knowledge of industry trends.
  • Communicate effectively with peers and leads using written and verbal communication.
