Qualcomm is seeking a Principal Engineer for its Camera System Engineering team to coordinate with external image sensor vendors and facilitate the development of advanced imaging systems. • Master's degree or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in CMOS Image Sensor development.
• 4+ years in a technical leadership role with direct reports.
• 3+ years of experience interacting with executive leadership.
• 3+ years of experience integrating CMOS image sensors with backend ISP.
• 2+ years of experience in camera hardware or systems design and optimization.
• 2+ years of experience working with operating budgets and/or project financials.

• Leverage expert Camera Engineering knowledge to research, design, develop, verify, debug, implement, and validate complex camera systems.
• Collect and analyze sensor/module roadmaps to predict industrial trends and develop strategies for new imaging technologies.
• Partner with external vendors to influence and align their future roadmaps with Qualcomm's imaging system design.
• Collaborate with ecosystem partners to develop innovative imaging technologies and end-to-end features.
• Translate customer needs and requirements into long-term tasks and plans.
• Act as a technical lead and facilitate collaboration across organizations to optimize camera systems.
• Write detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for complex Camera projects.
