Job description

The role at Qualcomm involves contributing to the development of next-generation graphics processing units (GPUs) and compute devices. The Qualcomm Graphics System Team focuses on creating architectural solutions that enhance performance and efficiency. The position requires a deep understanding of GPU architecture and rendering processes, as well as the ability to analyze performance metrics. Candidates will engage in performance analysis for various workloads and develop tools for debugging and validation tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GPU architecture and rendering.
  • Ability to write rendering applications using Vulkan and other graphics APIs.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to performance analysis at the GPU level for graphics and ray tracing workloads.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvements by analyzing competitive benchmarks and games.
  • Develop tools for efficient and scalable debugging and validation tasks.
  • Support presilicon workload enablement efforts for analyzed workloads and games.
  • Analyze performance silicon measurements in Android.
