The Project Engineer at Qualcomm is the technical lead for core development projects, focusing on the architecture, development, and productization of GPUs. This role requires collaboration with Product Managers and Program Managers to define product requirements and execution metrics. The engineer will work across various functional teams to ensure the successful launch of System on Chip (SoC) products. • 10+ years of combined Hardware/Software/System Engineering or related work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong communication skills over various forms/media.
• Experience in technical discussions spanning software, hardware, system, and productization domains.

• Partner with all engineering teams on definition, execution, and delivery of GPUs to products.
• Act as technical liaison between GPU HW engineering and Product Management.
• Participate in Product/Roadmap planning using cost/benefit analysis.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of GPU cores for long-term success.
• Drive industry best practices for ASIC engineering.
• Organize and drive technical meetings for problem-solving and design reviews.
• Ensure that new proposals are vetted for potential patent applications.
• Represent the GPU engineering team in SOC forums and upper management meetings.
• Drive and mandate quality goals in conjunction with Project Management.
