Job description

The role at Qualcomm involves contributing to the development of next-generation graphics processing units (GPUs) and compute devices. The Qualcomm Graphics System Team focuses on enhancing performance and power efficiency for various workloads. The position requires a strong understanding of GPU and system-on-chip (SoC) architecture, as well as a solid programming background. The successful candidate will engage in performance analysis and contribute to competitive benchmarking efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
  • Understanding of GPU and/or SoC architecture and common SoC hardware blocks.
  • Strong knowledge of Python or similar programming languages.
  • Fluency in using the latest AI tools for coding and debugging.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to performance and power efficiency analysis at the GPU and system level.
  • Work closely with the modeling team to establish scalable methodologies for power projections.
  • Engage in competitive performance and power analysis for popular benchmarks and games.
  • Develop tools for efficient and scalable debug and validation tasks.
  • Participate in next-generation model improvement by providing post-silicon learning.
