Qualcomm is seeking a software engineer to join its Power & Thermal/Limits System Software team in San Diego. The role focuses on optimizing power and performance for next-generation data-center platforms, particularly ARM-based server technologies. Candidates will collaborate with cross-functional teams to tackle complex technical challenges and drive enhancements in system architecture and software. This position requires a strong background in software engineering and power management techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years.
- 3+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Expertise in power and performance management techniques.
- Strong familiarity with ARM architecture and programming in C, C++, and Python.
- Solid understanding of SoC and computer-system architecture.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex system-level use cases for data-center server platforms.
- Optimize power and performance technologies for next-generation ARM platforms.
- Collaborate across teams to achieve best-in-class product-level KPIs for power and performance.
