Qualcomm is seeking a senior SoC platform software engineer to join its Automotive Team, which is at the forefront of advancements in automotive technology. The role involves developing next-generation automotive solutions by understanding software product requirements and their relationship to hardware components. The engineer will lead the development, debugging, and customer interactions for various platform software drivers and modules. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years.
• 3+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Strong hands-on experience in at least 3 areas including Linux kernel, QNX Kernel, or ARM architecture.

• Design, develop, create, modify, and validate critical embedded and cloud edge software.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to customize sophisticated software for optimal efficiency.
• Lead design, coding, and testing efforts to ensure project specifications and schedules are met.
• Perform complex code reviews and regression tests, and fix issues to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and test engineers to design solutions that integrate with other project components.
• Write detailed technical documentation for complex software projects and review documentation for junior engineers.
