Job description

As a Qualcomm Systems Engineer, you will be part of the System Performance Team, focusing on optimizing and validating performance for Qualcomm Snapdragon Chipsets across various business units. This role involves collaborating with software, hardware, and architecture teams to enhance power, performance, and thermal behavior of systems. You will also provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers while leveraging your advanced systems knowledge. The position requires a strong emphasis on research, simulation, and validation of performance to meet product requirements.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Engineering
  • 4+ years of practical post-silicon experience in power and performance analysis of complex SoCs
  • 4+ years of work experience requiring interaction with senior leadership
  • Strong programming and scripting skills in Python and C/C++
  • Understanding of memory hierarchy and system interconnects
  • Knowledge of ARM SoC concepts and architecture specifications
  • Experience with Vulkan, OpenGL, DX12, or CUDA

Responsibilities

  • Enable, profile, and analyze complex concurrent system use-cases in emulation and software environments.
  • Define and document performance and power analysis plans for system use-cases across multiple workloads.
  • Identify areas of performance optimization in the SoC for both software and hardware architectures.
  • Direct triage of complex performance issues to determine root-cause and present results to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement optimal power, performance, and thermal solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor, and guide engineers to successfully execute multiple programs.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports and recommendations for product teams to drive business decisions.
