Job description

As a Qualcomm CPU Engineer, you will lead innovative Central Processing Unit (CPU) design efforts that significantly impact various industries. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, verify, and implement multi-core CPU operations. The role focuses on power analysis and optimization for CPU benchmarks, utilizing tools like PTPX and Joules. This position requires collaboration with RTL design, synthesis, and physical design teams to enhance power efficiency.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in power characterization or related work experience.
  • Experience in power analysis and optimization is required.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Tcl and Python is necessary.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct power analysis on projects involved in the development of CPUSS.
  • Characterize power for various CPU benchmarks using tools like PTPX and Joules.
  • Collaborate with RTL design, synthesis, and physical design teams to measure and optimize power.
  • Tabulate metrics results for analysis comparison.
  • Work with post-silicon teams to correlate projections with silicon power measurements.
