Job description

As a Design Verification Engineer at Qualcomm, you will collaborate with Chip Architects to validate CPU and SOC level micro-architectures. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that the CPU design meets launch readiness standards. You will develop detailed test plans and verification methodologies, while also executing verification plans and tracking progress. This role requires a deep understanding of micro-processor verification functions and architectures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry Instruction Set Architectures, particularly RISC-V.
  • Deep knowledge of Micro-Processor Verification functions and Architectures.
  • Experience in leading a small team of Verification engineers performing CPU Verification.
  • Experience with different Verification Methodologies and Tools.

Responsibilities

  • Work with CPU and SOC Architects to understand the concepts and high-level system requirements.
  • Develop detailed Test and Coverage plans based on the Architecture and Micro-architecture.
  • Develop Verification Methodology, ensuring scalability and portability across environments.
  • Develop Verification environment, including all respective components such as Stimulus, Checkers, Assertions, Trackers, and Coverage.
  • Execute Verification Plans, including Design Bring-up, DV environment Bring-up, and Debug of test failures.
