Job description

As a CPU Integration CAD engineer at Qualcomm, you will work with talented engineers to develop and support implementation tools and flows for custom CPUs. Your focus will be on ensuring industry-leading power, performance, and area for high-performance chips. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and EDA vendors to enhance methodologies and resolve tool issues. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years.
  • Ten+ years of hands-on experience in the development of high-performance chips in a design or CAD role.
  • High level of programming proficiency in Python and Tcl.
  • Strong experience with PNR tool Innovus or PDV Calibre tool or equivalent.
  • Experience with advanced technology nodes (5nm or lower).

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with worldwide cross-functional teams such as CPU physical design, CPU and SOC Integration, Technology and Central CAD.
  • Develop, integrate, and release flows and methodologies for floorplanning and PDV analysis.
  • Architect, maintain, and support implementation flows while resolving project-specific issues.
  • Collaborate with EDA vendors to define the roadmap and resolve tool issues.
