As a CPU Power Management Firmware Developer at Qualcomm, you will work with a team to enable power management solutions for Qualcomm's custom CPUs. This role involves collaborating with hardware and firmware development teams to define and implement embedded firmware that manages power and performance for CPU subsystems. You will also engage with open-source communities and contribute to various aspects of firmware development, including power management, boot, and security services. Your work will significantly influence the design and implementation of future Qualcomm CPUs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years.
- 3+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- 5 years of experience in embedded firmware development.
- Proficiency in writing and debugging C and assembly.
- Driver development experience in RTOS or OS Kernel environments.
- Experience with embedded OSes such as Zephyr, eCos, uC/OS, or FreeRTOS.
- Familiarity with ARM v8 architecture.
Responsibilities
- Drive the firmware design, implementation, and verification in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
- Assist in defining power management solutions for future generations of Qualcomm CPUs.
- Engage with open-source communities to contribute support for processor architectures and firmware features.
- Collaborate with other teams on platform bring-up, debugging, and firmware lifecycle.
- Participate in the management controller firmware development, including power management and runtime services.
