Job description

The Design Implementation Engineer will join Qualcomm's Adreno GPU team, focusing on frontend implementation design challenges and methodologies. This role involves integrating, implementing, and delivering advanced GPU cores while collaborating closely with microarchitecture and physical design teams. The successful candidate will need a deep understanding of ASIC design flow and the complexities of advanced nanometer technologies. The position emphasizes achieving aggressive Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years, or a PhD with 5+ years.
  • Experience with digital design and RTL synthesis.
  • Proficiency in EDA tools such as Design Compiler, Fusion Compiler, Genus, Innovus, Conformal LEC, Formality, and PrimeTime.
  • Solid scripting skills using Tcl or Python.
  • Strong background in industry-standard synthesis and place-and-route tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of frontend implementation design challenges and methodologies.
  • Integrate, implement, and deliver state-of-the-art GPU cores.
  • Collaborate with RTL designers to enhance power and performance.
  • Conduct power vector generation and power analysis.
  • Work closely with microarchitecture and physical design teams to meet PPA targets.
