Job description

Qualcomm is seeking Software Engineers at various levels to design, develop, and validate embedded and cloud edge software. The role involves collaboration with systems, hardware, and architecture teams to create system-level software solutions. Engineers will focus on ensuring software quality and compliance through automated testing and manual testing in diverse environments. The position emphasizes continuous integration and deployment, aiming to enhance existing operating systems and customer usage environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years.
  • 3+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • 8+ years of experience in Software/Firmware Validation is preferred.
  • Strong understanding and experience in software/firmware test automation techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Create software/firmware test plans addressing requirements traceability and test coverage.
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated software/firmware test suites.
  • Manually test the customer experience of installation and deployment of Qualcomm hardware and software.
  • Assist in creating a Quality Engineering/Release engineering process with a focus on continuous integration and deployment.
  • Collaborate with other teams on bring-up, debugging, and diagnostics.
