Job description

Qualcomm's Location Technology Team is seeking embedded software engineers to develop next-generation location solutions for wireless platforms. The role focuses on designing, testing, and optimizing real-time embedded software for GNSS and GPS technologies. Engineers will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance the wireless user experience. This position requires a strong background in software engineering and a passion for innovative technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD.
  • 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Strong programming experience in C.
  • Solid understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and multi-threaded software design.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, review, and maintain real-time embedded software in C and assembly language.
  • Develop software within a multi-threaded architecture, including inter-process communication and multiple SW/FW interfaces.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams to verify hardware features and debug hardware-related issues.
  • Work closely with test teams to diagnose and resolve system-level functional and performance issues.
  • Contribute to software architecture, system design discussions, and development methodology.
