As a Qualcomm Video Engineer, you will work on innovative video systems and hardware architecture that enhance daily life through advanced video and computer vision technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze customer requirements and develop complex video systems for various markets including mobile and automotive. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years.
- 4+ years of applicable video hardware and/or systems experience.
- 4+ years of experience with hardware system design, system integration, schematic capture, and circuit simulation software.
- 4+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
- 3+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
- 1+ year of experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership.
- 1+ year in a technical leadership role.
Responsibilities
- Leverage advanced Video and Computer Vision Engineering knowledge to research and develop critical video codec and computer vision hardware.
- Design, develop, implement, and verify complex video systems and hardware and firmware tasks.
- Perform complex architecture, standard study, algorithm, and feature decomposition to drive requirements for hardware development.
- Ensure advanced KPIs, systems performance, and area and power metrics are met.
- Drive triage of complex problems to determine root causes and address issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to analyze product requirements for new architecture and modifications.
- Lead the design of video systems and develop complex features and components in line with proposals or roadmaps.
- Write detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for complex projects.
