The role involves collaborating with chip architects to define micro-architecture and contribute to product life cycle from early stages. Candidates will utilize their expertise in microprocessor architecture and RTL design to meet performance and power goals. • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years.
• MS degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of CPU RTL or similar experience.
• Thorough knowledge of microprocessor architecture and expertise in areas such as timers, interrupt controllers, and power management architectures.
• Knowledge of Verilog and/or VHDL.
• Experience with simulators and waveform debugging tools.

• Explore high performance strategies in collaboration with the CPU modeling team.
• Develop and specify microarchitecture from high-level exploration to detailed specifications.
• Own the development, assessment, and refinement of RTL design to meet power, performance, area, and timing goals.
• Support the design verification team in executing the functional verification strategy.
• Assist in verifying that the RTL design meets performance goals.
• Collaborate with a multi-functional engineering team to implement and validate physical design aspects.
