Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Staff or Sr. Staff Hardware Validation Engineer to lead board and system bring-up, functional validation, and root-cause debug from EVT through production. This role involves collaborating with hardware design, firmware, and software teams to ensure the functional readiness of server platforms. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end validation strategy and drive high-ownership, hands-on validation efforts. This position is critical in developing next-generation computing platforms based on Qualcomm's Snapdragon SoC.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 6–8+ years of experience in board or platform hardware validation.
- Hands-on experience with server-class or high-performance platforms.
- Strong understanding of power sequencing, reset, clocks, and board-level debug.
- Experience validating PCIe, DDR, Ethernet at a functional level.
- Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
Responsibilities
- Lead board and system bring-up from the first power-on to full functional enablement.
- Own functional validation plans for server platforms through EVT and DVT.
- Validate power rails, sequencing, margining, and VR controls.
- Perform deep hands-on debug across HW/FW/SW domains.
- Drive root-cause analysis and validation of fixes.
- Develop or maintain automation tools/scripts using Python, Shell, or TCL.
- Support DVT/PVT, factory bring-up, board re-spins, and field issues.
- Generate validation reports, bring-up guides, and debug documentation.
- Communicate status, risks, and blockers clearly to stakeholders.
