Qualcomm is seeking an experienced power electronics engineer to develop a new product line focused on machine learning inference acceleration in the cloud. The role involves all aspects of product development, including power design, management products, and post-silicon validation. The engineer will work closely with cross-organization colleagues to ensure power delivery requirements are met. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with various power management technologies.
Requirements
- PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred.
- Expertise in power electronics, power management, and thermal analysis.
- Proficiency in design and simulation tools such as MATLAB and Mentor Graphics.
- Experience with firmware coding and scripting languages like Python.
Responsibilities
- Specify board level power design and voltage regulator selection.
- Conduct design reviews and provide schematic/layout guidance to the CAD team.
- Drive internal simulation teams to ensure board design meets signal and power integrity.
- Program Qualcomm PMIC to manage system power-on and power-off sequences.
- Derive and execute board validation test plans pre/post-silicon.
