Job description

The Senior Engineering Program Manager at Apple will lead complex cross-functional programs focused on generative AI and MCP server delivery. This role is part of the IS&T team, which shapes the strategy and operations of the organization. The manager will define GenAI strategy and adoption, ensuring that scattered experiments translate into company-wide impact. The position requires collaboration across various teams to prioritize and deliver solutions that unlock value across Apple.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of combined experience leading large transformational programs or technical initiatives.
  • Proven track record of driving complex, cross-functional programs at enterprise scale.
  • Demonstrated experience with GenAI, LLM-based workflows, or agentic systems in an enterprise context.
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Management or a technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP), agent frameworks, or GenAI developer tooling.
  • Experience with portfolio management, especially managing interdependencies across multiple engineering tracks and delivery teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor technical concepts to audiences ranging from individual contributors to executives.
  • Track record of building internal communities, developer relations programs, or evangelism functions.
  • Experience partnering with Privacy, Security, or Design organizations to land standards across a large engineering population.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise productivity domains such as engineering tooling, IT, operations, customer care, HR, or similar.
  • Experience leading cross-organizational initiatives where success depends on diplomacy, coalition-building, and neutral stewardship rather than direct authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to distill the complexities of large-scale programs into clear, compelling narratives for senior executives.
  • Experience using qualitative and quantitative data to drive product adoption strategies and measure impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex cross-functional programs with a focus on generative AI and MCP server delivery.
  • Define GenAI strategy and adoption pathways for IS&T.
  • Collaborate with various teams to prioritize and deliver MCP servers and agentic AI solutions.
  • Manage interdependencies and ensure timely, high-quality releases.
  • Work with Privacy, Security, and Design experts to ensure solutions meet Apple's standards.
  • Drive the discovery of emerging GenAI capabilities and enablement through standards alignment.
  • Facilitate the adoption of the best tools for every Apple employee.
  • Build internal communities and developer relations programs to support program goals.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
