The Embedded Software Development Engineer will be responsible for building and owning server-related firmware within the AWS Hardware Engineering team. This team focuses on creating innovative and scalable solutions for data center infrastructure problems. Engineers will collaborate with a diverse group of specialists to ensure high standards for safety and security while delivering efficient cloud services. The role offers the opportunity to directly impact product improvements and contribute to the next-generation platform.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience in embedded development in C/C++
- Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience debugging, profiling, and implementing best software engineering practices in large-scale systems
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Server Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) Software.
- Engage in scripting language development.
- Provide Data Center Operation Support.
- Develop Linux drivers.
- Collaborate with a team of software developers to create innovative solutions.
- Build, validate, and support firmware across diverse technology domains.
