The role involves designing, crafting, and deploying reliable embedded software for consumer electronic products as part of the Amazon Leo CT SW Team. This team focuses on supporting devices that connect customers to the Kuiper network, working collaboratively with hardware, product, and operations teams. The mission is to deliver fast, affordable broadband to underserved communities through innovative technology. Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for terrestrial devices within the Amazon Leo system.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering, design, code, test, and code/test coverage.
- Develop embedded software in assembly, C, C++, Rust or other languages.
- Apply real-time embedded software philosophies and practices.
- Review schematics, logic analyzer, and embedded software troubleshooting techniques.
