Job description

The Engineering Program Manager will play a crucial role in the Apple Audio Products Engineering team, focusing on the development of innovative technologies for Apple products. This position requires leading program management efforts and fostering collaboration among various engineering teams for embedded firmware development. The ideal candidate will drive the execution of software and firmware development plans throughout the product lifecycle. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with diverse teams and ensuring successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • At least 4 years of project management experience
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of personal responsibility and a technical orientation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically and to build consensus in achieving project deliverables
  • Experience managing embedded software development in a product development environment
  • Experience in shipping consumer products and leading them through the entire product life cycle

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead all aspects of comprehensive project plans
  • Identify and address conflicting motivations and priorities of multidisciplinary engineers to converge on designs, schedules, and strategies
  • Drive cross-team consensus and direct deliverables to conclusion
  • Identify and drive program multi-functional dependencies between teams
  • Grasp complex technical topics and abstract key issues and risks into a practical form for executive management
  • Maintain an orientation toward teamwork and collaboration
