Amazon Web Services’ Hardware Engineering team is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to enhance the cloud computing platform. The role involves working in a dynamic international manufacturing environment, focusing on scaling manufacturing processes and ensuring quality targets. Engineers will collaborate with various teams, including ODMs, CMs, and internal AWS teams, to manage the manufacturing launch and resolve process issues. Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
- 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience with server platforms or high-tech hardware
- 5+ years of product development experience
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- Experience with project management of technical projects
Responsibilities
- Scale up manufacturing on new products across a global network.
- Lead and oversee quality control processes across Contract Manufacturers, Original Design Manufacturers, and component vendors.
- Deliver hands-on technical support during new product introductions and launches.
- Investigate and resolve customer escalations through comprehensive root cause analysis.
- Support global operations through regular domestic and international travel.
