The Senior Component Quality & Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of liquid cooling components used in next-generation server systems. This role involves defining validation strategies and leading cross-functional efforts to improve component performance and durability. The team focuses on delivering reliable solutions that support demanding compute workloads in AWS data centers. Engineers will work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams to address challenges in real-world environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Reliability Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of Quality, Reliability, and/or mechanical design engineering work, preferably with server platforms or data center operations
- Strong background in reliability engineering methods such as DFMEA, ALT, and statistical analysis
- Experience with liquid cooling technologies, including cold plates and fluid systems, is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to drive failure analysis activities to root cause swiftly and accurately
Responsibilities
- Define and execute reliability validation strategies for liquid cooling components and subsystems
- Develop test plans aligned to real-world use conditions
- Lead DFMEA and Design for Reliability activities to identify and mitigate risks early
- Drive root cause analysis for component qualification and fleet failures
- Conduct supplier audits and support qualification readiness
