The Motion Sensing Hardware Team at Apple focuses on integrating advanced motion sensing technologies into various products. Requirements

  • BS in a related discipline and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in motion sensors including magnetic, inertial, and pressure technologies.
  • PhD in physics or engineering related fields or MS with 2+ years of hands-on experience.
  • Strong fundamentals in sensors and experience integrating sensors into products.
  • Proficiency in instrumentation, modeling, and analysis scripting languages like Matlab or Python.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate state-of-the-art motion sensors into various Apple products.
  • Define sensing system metrics and develop measurement methods.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure system performance meets feature requirements.
  • Engage with suppliers and troubleshoot complex engineering issues.
  • Develop models to simulate the use or performance of sensors.
