Requirements
- BS in a related discipline and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in motion sensors including magnetic, inertial, and pressure sensing technologies.
- PhD in physics or engineering related fields or MS with 2+ years of hands-on experience.
- Strong fundamentals in sensors and experience integrating sensors into products.
- Proficiency in instrumentation, modeling, and analysis scripting languages like Matlab or Python.
- Excellent critical analysis, statistical analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing models to simulate sensor performance.
Responsibilities
- Define sensing system metrics and develop measurement methods.
- Integrate state-of-the-art motion sensors into various Apple products.
- Characterize and validate motion sensing systems from concept through manufacturing.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure system performance meets feature requirements.
- Engage with suppliers and troubleshoot complex engineering issues.
