Job description

Apple is seeking an experienced database Software Engineer to contribute to the development of the next generation of Apple's cloud services, specifically within the FoundationDB team. Requirements

  • 1+ years of industry experience in designing, implementing, and operating highly scalable distributed systems
  • Working experience with programming languages such as C++
  • Experience in performance benchmarking, debugging, and tuning distributed systems
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent related experience
  • Excellent communication skills, able to build relationships with diverse groups of people
  • Familiarity with modern data storage systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop core components of the iCloud Platform to enhance Apple's services
  • Drive the full cycle of efficiency improvement for the product, including scaling systems and reducing costs
  • Utilize a unique simulation testing framework for correctness
