The AI Security Architect will join the Apple Information Security Assurance ARC team, focusing on security architecture for high-risk AI initiatives. This role involves shaping architecture patterns, conducting design reviews, and providing security guidance to ensure safe AI adoption across Apple. The architect will bridge traditional security practices with emerging AI risks while applying AI-driven tooling to enhance security workflows. This strategic position requires collaboration with various teams to create reusable, secure patterns for AI-driven systems.

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Security, or 6+ years of equivalent, hands-on security experience in large enterprise environments.
• Strong background in security architecture, application security, or cloud security.
• Demonstrated understanding of AI/ML concepts, pipelines, and risks such as data poisoning and prompt injection.
• Experience with threat modeling methodologies and secure design principles.
• Familiarity with AI regulatory frameworks such as the EU AI Act or NIST AI RMF.
• Proven ability to communicate security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience applying AI/LLMs for security automation.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language.
• Experience performing full-stack security architecture reviews.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture principles and Secure by Default design.
• Experience with data protection, encryption architecture, and key management in AI/ML contexts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Shape architecture patterns and conduct design reviews for AI-driven environments.
• Partner with engineering, data science, product, and compliance teams to build secure-by-default patterns.
• Evaluate risks such as data poisoning and model manipulation.
• Apply AI to automate threat modeling, design reviews, and control validation.
• Contribute to the Self-Service Enablement Platform by codifying decisions and patterns.
• Identify emerging AI/ML technologies and architectural patterns for future focus areas.
• Amplify the effectiveness of the security function by reducing inbound request volume.
